That's why entrepreneurship is one of the core values of Erasmus MC's strategic vision.
When our colleague doctors, nurses, and researchers come to TTO for the first time, they have taken the first step to put their great ideas into practice through the valorization process. Through that, new spin-off companies and initiatives are founded each year at Erasmus MC, whose main goal is to get an innovation to the patient. We’re very proud of the successful entrepreneurs who have developed their idea from Erasmus MC into an innovation!
How TTO stimulates the entrepreneurial culture at Erasmus MC
- Guiding entrepreneurial Erasmus MC employees in company formation by giving tailor-made strategic advice, facilitating funding and resources, and giving access to a wide community network.
- Organizing awareness sessions, workshops, courses, lectures, and other events to educate and encourage an entrepreneurial spirit at Erasmus MC.
- Supporting young companies through the first vulnerable development phase by offering laboratory and office space at Erasmus MC Incubator. Here, spin-offs can keep a close connection to the clinic and research facilities of Erasmus MC and get input from doctors, nurses, researchers, students and patients to develop personalized solutions.
- Accelerating growth of young companies through our established connections with funding authorities and investors able to provide financial support for the sustainable development of their business.
- Working together with Rotterdam Square and other stakeholders on the development of Erasmus MC Campus to accelerate entrepreneurial activity in Rotterdam.
- Exploring innovative and socially responsible business strategies to address the changing societal needs.
- Expanding the Life Science & Health community through close collaborations with stakeholders and partners.
