Erasmus MC has a prominent position in a large Life Sciences & Health ecosystem. - Network – TTO has a large network in the Life Science & Health sector that facilitates innovations, brings them to the market, and makes them available to the patient. This network includes intellectual property specialists, funding agencies, capital investors, industry partners, accelerator programs, experienced managers, university administrators, healthcare providers, and many more.
- Resources – Through Erasmus MC Incubator, TTO provides young companies with housing, funding, specialized programs, training and access to a networking to support them through the vulnerable early development phase.
- Knowledge – TTO provides knowledge and expertise and leads discussions about valorization, entrepreneurship and related matters with other stakeholders in the Life Science & Health community by organizing and attending workshops, courses, lectures, accelerator programs, conferences, and other events.
- Validation – TTO drives research from Erasmus MC through the valorization process. We select and transform scientific results into business and healthcare solutions. Through this, innovations from Erasmus MC are developed and validated for the greatest impact.
- Campus – The Erasmus MC Campus is undergoing a complete renovation, which amongst others should lead to an influx of companies (from SMEs to larger corporates). Rotterdam Square was established as Erasmus MC Campus organization to play a pivotal role in the shaping of the Erasmus MC campus and is a collaboration between Erasmus MC and the municipality of Rotterdam.
