Our research
Background information
Neurological diseases in children are both rare and increasingly complex. Recent advances in imaging and genetic and immunological testing have allowed for a far better demarcation of the etiology, pathogenesis and symptoms of many neurological diseases in childhood. This will allow finding new treatment options for diseases that have previously been considered untreatable.
Overall aim
Our clinical research teams collaborate with the basic sciences and European networks with the aim to develop innovative methods for diagnosis, monitoring of disease course and treatment.
Research Focus Areas
- Clinical observational studies in rare diseases.
- Clinical trials of new treatment options.
- Clinical studies on measures of disease course and outcome.
