About Z. (Zhongcan) Zheng

Introduction

After finishing my residency training and my master program in Orthopedic department last year, I started my PhD trajectory at EMC this year on the first of April. My research interest lies in the field of joint diseases, specifically hip joint diseases and osteoarthritis. I am working on part of the project HIPSTAR and the research focuses on the hip dysplasia of young adolescents, which appears to be a significant risk factor in developing hip osteoarthritis. My PhD trajectory will follow the passion to find out the developing model of the young adolescents suffering from hip dysplasia and hopefully provide some novel classification methods and preventive treatment for kids to avoid developing hip dysplasia hence resulting in hip osteoarthritis.
