About MSc. B.P. (Brian) Berghout, MD
Introduction
The aim of my research is to provide an epidemiological perspective on stroke recurrence using data from the Rotterdam Study, while making the link with clinical research by exploring the role of the geometry of arteriosclerosis in stroke and stroke recurrence.
In my previous work I have described how vitamin D deficiency affects stroke risk in elderly people in the Netherlands. And in the next couple of years I hope to contribute more novel insights concerning cerebrovascular diseases to the medical field.
