About M.L. (Marlissa) Becker, MSc
Introduction
In 2019 I finished my masters in Human Movement Science before starting at the Erasmus Medical Center. My research project focusses on using sensor technology to measure and ultimately improve physical behavior in hospitalized patients. I work with 1) an accelerometer-based device that assesses body posture and activities and 2) pressure sensor technology that has been placed in the bed or underneath the mattress to assess in-bed mobility. The ultimate goal of the project is to combine both devices into providing insightful information about the physical behavior to both the patient and the clinicians.
