We recommend for your child to have a DigiD log-in when visiting our hospital. DigiD stands for digital identity and is used as identification to access government, education and healthcare institutions.
At Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital your child needs DigiD to access his or her medical record and scheduled appointments in our online patient portal My Erasmus MC. We currently also ask you to complete a questionnaire about corona before your visit. Your child will need a DigiD for this.
Applying for DigiD
Are you visiting our hospital soon and does your child currently not yet have a DigiD log-in? You can apply on the DigiD website. Note: Make sure you apply on time. The application process takes at least three working days.
How to apply
- You need your child’s citizen service number (BSN) to apply.
- Apply and follow the steps at https://digid.nl/en/aanvragen. Make sure to provide an e-mail address and a phone number during your application, so you’re able to reset your password and install the DigiD-app.
- You will receive a letter with your activation code within three working days.
- Activate the account.
- You can now use the DigiD log-in to access My Erasmus MC.
If you have any further questions about applying for DigiD for your child, please contact the specialism where your child is being treated.
Using DigiD to answer our corona questionnaire
Due to the COVID19 pandemic you will receive a text message from us a few days before your visit to the hospital, with the request to complete a questionnaire about possible coronavirus symptoms you or your child might be experiencing. Use your child’s DigiD to safely access your child’s personal information on My Erasmus MC and complete the questionnaire.
