About Prof. Dr. M.C. (Margreet) Vos

Introduction

Margreet Vos is a professor in Healthcare-related Infections at the Erasmus Medical Centre (Erasmus MC) in Rotterdam since 2012. Since 1995, she is employed as a clinical microbiologists and since 2012 she is a professor of Healthcare-related infections at the department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam. Her research line focuses on transmission, endoscope-device contamination, endoscopy related infections, the innate environment; cleaning and disinfection, transmission and risk factors for Highly Resistant Microorganism, S aureus carriage.

Education and career

Margreet Vos received her medical degree cum laude from the medical faculty Erasmus University Rotterdam. Since 1995, she is a clinical microbiologist and working as the dept of Medical Microbiology and Infections, ErasmusMC . Since 2012 she is a professor of Healthcare-related infections at the department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.
She has published over 180 peer reviewed publications. She is the chair of European Study Group of Nosocomial Infection (ESGNI) of the ESCMID and she is the chair of the MRSA working group of the ISAC.
