Education and career
I have studied Statistics in the Athens University of Economics and Business in Greece from which I obtained a master in 2004. I continued my studies in the Katholieke Univeristeit Leuven from where I received a PhD in Biostatistics in 2008.
From 2008 I have working at the Erasmus University Medical Center, where currently I am a full professor of Biostatistics in the department of Epidemiology.

Teaching activities
I am teaching in the NIHES master programs courses on longitudinal and survival analysis, in the master and bachelor of medicine.

In 2014 I received a VIDI grant from ZonMw for the development of novel statistical techniques based on joint models with application in personalized medicine.
