About Ass. Prof. T.R.V.C. (Thibault) Mesplède
Introduction
Thibault Mesplède is an Assistant Professor of Virology at Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
He received his Ph.D. in Genetics from Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, France, and completed his postdoctoral work with Mark Wainberg.
Thibault also held an Assistant Professorship in Microbiology and Immunology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
His research primarily focuses on HIV drug resistance against integrase inhibitors, and he has published over 95 peer-reviewed papers. Thibault's work has contributed to the World Health Organization's recommendation to list dolutegravir as the preferred antiretroviral drug anchor. He is also involved in cure programs and has a keen interest in the interplay between the reservoir and drug resistance.
