About MSc. A. (Antonio) López Marín
Introduction
Antonio López Marín graduated in Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Seville in 2015. During his Master's studies he was involved in the Electronic and Biomedical Instrumentation Group at the Polytechnic University of Catalunya, where he finished his Master's Thesis developing a wireless cardiac and respiratory monitor. For more than two years, he worked at the same group as Research Engineer developing wearable biomedical sensors for health and fitness applications. At the same time, he followed Master’s studies in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Barcelona, also participating as Erasmus student at the Delft University of Technology.
In September 2018, Antonio joined the Invasive Imaging group under the supervision of Tianshi Wang and Gijs van Soest. There he developed his second Master’s Thesis, building a capsule for OCT esophageal examination. He started working as PhD student in the same group from 2019 with the Thesis title "Design and development of Minimally Invasive Diagnostic Instruments". This project aims to explore and develop different endoscopic devices using OCT and Photoacoustics, with the specific goal of improving imaging performance for cancer and coronary artery disease prognosis.
