About F.J. (Folkert) van Kemenade, Prof. dr.
Introduction
Folkert van Kemenade’s focus in research has been on prevention and screening of cervical cancer in collaboration with other departments in and outside Erasmus MC.He has contributed to large trials such as Pobascam and Vusascreen and several trials with self sampling as method (Prohtect 1, 2, 3a and 3b, Improve).. He has been regional coordinating pathologist for the cervical screening programme, involved in composing updates of guidelines cervical cytology (3 times) and is member of the programme board.
Concurrently, he is involved in research infrastructure projects (BBMRI 1.0 and 2.0 and currently Health RI. Deliverables so far are PALGA Portal and the Podium website.
