Introduction
Current research interests and goals
My research focuses on the long-term outcomes of patients with traumatic brain injury, glioma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and stroke. Especially the following outcomes have my interest: cognitive problems, depression, fatigue, problems in return-to-work, social participation, and quality of life.
My goals are to develop, assess, and implement new rehabilitation therapies for patients with acquired brain injury aimed at optimal social participation and quality of life.

Education and career
I obtained my PhD at the Erasmus University Rotterdam on the assessment of diagnostic imaging technologies for cardiovascular disease. I finished my first MSc in Human Movement Sciences at the Free University Amsterdam, and my second MSc in Clinical Epidemiology at the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences, Rotterdam.
