In March 2017, she started her PhD and GP-traineeship at the department of General Practice at the Erasmus MC. Her PhDproject focuses on the effectiveness of different strengths of topical steroids in children with atopic dermatitis (AD) in general practice. The aim is to determine whether a potent topical CS is more effective than a mild topical CS in the treatment of children with a moderate flare-up of atopic dermatitis in primary care. The study will consist of a cohort of children with AD with a follow-up of one year in which a randomized controlled trial will be embedded. During her PhD-project, she will be enrolled at the Master of Science-program in Clinical Epidemiology at the Netherlands Institute for Health.
