What we do
About our project
The GEZIN study (Genetische Zoektocht in Neuropsychiatrische stoornissen) involves family-based, case-control and population-based epidemiological genomic discovery to identify novel genetic determinants of mental health outcomes.
We use a combination of human pluripotent stem cell modelling and transgenic animal models to investigate the underlying functional impact of the identified variants in order to gain pathophysiological insight, clarify diagnostic pathogenicity and uncover novel therapeutic targets.
