When do we charge the list price?
We charge the list price if:
- your health insurance company has not signed a contract with us covering your treatment;
- you require medical care all or part of which is not covered by the basic health insurance policy;
- you are uninsured, in spite of the fact all residents of the Netherlands are obliged by law to take out health insurance.
Price lists
There are various price lists. Which list applies in your case depends on the date on which your treatment starts, i.e. the date of your first appointment at the Erasmus MC:
- if your first outpatient appointment was on or after 1 January 2021: 2021 price list
- expensive medicines, as from 1 January 2021: 2021 expensive medicines
- mental health care, as from 1 January 2021: 2021 price list
- if your first outpatient appointment was on or after 1 January 2022: 2022 price list
- expensive medicines, as from 1 January 2022: 2022 expensive medicines
- mental health care, as from 1 January 2022:2022 price list
- if your first outpatient appointment was on or after 1 January 2023: 2023 price list
- expensive medicines, as from 1 January 2023: 2023 expensive medicines
Prices are subject to change
While great care has been taken in compiling the list prices, we do not accept any liability for errors or omissions in the published price list.
We reserve the right to changes the prices quoted in the price list if this is warranted by certain national or internal developments.
If there is a price difference between the date on which you enquired about a price and the date on which treatment started, i.e. the date of your first appointment, the price at the start of treatment applies.
In the case of expensive medicines, the maximum fee set by the Dutch Healthcare Authority always applies.
